If you're interested in getting into video conferencing on a low budget, this package works very well. There is always a learning curve but if you're patient and willing to work through problems with tech support it's very doable. I will be using my set-up to speak to kids in schools. The kids are way ahead of us in adapting to video conferencing.

While the ClearMic Duo is very cool and the K2r camera is decent for the price, I found the PVX software somewhat frustrating to install on my small business wireless network, and I made about 3 calls to Polycom and one to the maker of my router before I could really get things working properly. All of this could have been fairly simple for someone who knew what they were doing, but PVX is marketed to people like me, who only have a moderate level of technnical knowledge, so it seems like they could better accommodate the novice. The main issue I had was a problem with network address translation, and I ended up having to hardwire my computer to the router in order to get things going properly. On the plus side, I got a fast and professional response every time I called Polycom for help, which was pretty impressive, given the fact that I purchased one of their lower end items.
I think the ClearMic Duo is a really great microphone for the price and I highly recommend it. I even played some music over it yesterday and it sounded pretty good!
