CapSure improves our accuracy for microhistological analysis
08/27/2008 - by Matthew W. ActonResearch Assistant, Environmental Planning from Arizona State University - Polytechnic
Using the CapSure program allows a graduate student to fully explore the subtle nuance of the cell structure of a plant during microhistological analysis. Our identification skills have increased and training time for individual diets has decreased, as we can now have a static digital or printed image of a unknown plant cell to study. This allows a student time to compare to other photos of known, identified plants via tissue samples leading to a more accurate definition of animal diets. CapSure has increased our accuracy in diet determination and assists in ultimately determining how well a animal species is fed, and helps suggest if natural resource management goals, pathways and decisions need to be altered or augmented. CapSure is a very valuable tool when evaluating the needs of a stressed or endangered animal species.

10/26/2007 - by Stephen W. Coons, M.D. Chief, Section of Neuropathology from Barrow Neurological Institute

"By using the CapSure system from GlobalMedia, more colleagues and residents can efficiently review the images on the screen than if we had to rotate people through the microscope. This significantly facilitates discussion and collaboration among the team."
